I Choose Freedom is a charity that provides refuge and a path to freedom for survivors of domestic abuse. We have three refuges that house women and children. As part of our Refuge for All project, we also offer self-contained units to support any survivor.We are seeking an additional Maintenance Administrator to join our team. This is a busy and varied role to ensure the smooth running of the refuge. This is a practical and hands-on role, no two days are the same. This role will suit an applicant who is flexible, proactive, enjoys multi-tasking and can work in a team.
Based at our refuge in Waverley Borough
Applicants will need to demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices. A full DBS check will be carried out for the successful applicant.
Female applicants only, exemption under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1
35 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 15:00, flexible hours can be discussed.
Sample of Job Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and health & safety checks to ensure the safe keeping of the refuge.
- Carry out any operational administrative duties to fulfill the role and provide administrative support to the team, where necessary.
- Be responsible for the ordering of and setting up welcome packs.
- Liaise with contractors reporting issues, arranging visits, escorting them around the refuge etc.
- Meet & greet visitors, checking their ID documents, signing them in, etc.

Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary:
£12.30 per hour
