Salary:
£45,350 + Dependent upon experience

About IPSD

Job Summary


The Service Training Consultant position is within the Service and Customer Support (SC&S) department of IPSD and will be focused on developing and leading technical training to the Perkins service network, while supporting the growth of training with Distributor Certified Instructors.

In this role, you will exercise your product and business knowledge by providing consultative support via Instructor-Led Training, Virtual training and leading global training projects to improve Technician Development.

  • Hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days remote)
  • Travel: 2030% global

What You Will Do:


  • Provide consulting services on design and development of solutions for professional skills gaps, leadership, and organizational development problems and issues.
  • Evaluate existing curriculum or learning solutions and recommending appropriate approaches for improving the quality, cost, and value of development programs.
  • Provide technical expertise to Dealers, Distributors, Regional training centres and customer to improve product acumen and service capability using training concepts.
  • Determines material and course content, training aids, media, and plans for delivering assigned training.
  • Provide insights to internal team and suppliers to develop new training material, while delivering training communications to the Network to achieve goals.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and solutions that improve service network efficiencies and performance.

What You Have:

Format:


  • Experience in staff and field product support/servicerelated positions with technical expertise on multiple engine models
  • Knowledge of relevant instructional design concepts and processes; ability to design instructional content to meet the learning needs of a target population.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently, to communicate effectively and to influence others in the work group, Distributor personnel and customers.
  • Knowledge of methods and tools of training delivery; Ability to deliver learning solutions for desired training outcomes
Provides feedback for the improvement of training needs collection methods

  • Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
  • Defines instructional goals, performance objectives, and topics to be included.
