The role:

An exciting opportunity to join our Product and Programmes team as a Commercial Product Specialist has arisen


Sitting at the heart of the Commercial Transformation team, you will be responsible for working within key business areas, such as Business, Leisure, Loyalty or Ancillaries, to ensure we have a market leading range of fare products, ancillary products and commercial programmes to drive commercial success.


What you'll do:


  • Develop new strategies and initiatives to implement new products and programmes.
  • Drive revenue growth by continuous monitoring of product performance to understand product usage & relevance and quality & integrity of our product delivery
  • Maintain product standards and guidelines for product definition, usage, and discounting.
  • Use analytics to develop pricing and guidelines for our products, such as paid for seating pricing or corporate deals.
  • Track and understand industry & market trends and adapting our strategies appropriately to stay ahead of the game.

What you'll bring to British Airways:

  • Strong analytical capability
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate at al levels of the business.
  • Ability to objectively listen, consider alternatives and encourage challenge.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to effectively juggle priorities to deliver projects.

Your experience:


  • Knowledge of revenue management fare products, inventory management and/or airline sales is desirable.
  • Practical experience using analytical tools and data, e.g. SQL, Excel, SAS.
  • Understanding of product development and delivery is desirable.
