The role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an artworker to work for an exciting, rapidly growing events company. Having launched 5 years ago it is now time to build an internal marketing team. This is a great opportunity to make the role your own.


Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will take ownership of the print and digital designs for our 26 events.

We are moving most of our work away from an external marketing & design company and you will be able to influence the way the department is set up and run.

If we require additional internal design support, that person would report to you. You'll be hands-on, working in a fast-paced, agile environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and follow working best practice processes, including updating, archiving and retrieval of digital artwork
  • Work and adhere to the agreed artwork signoff processes to ensure high levels of accuracy, suggesting improvements if required
  • Utilise skills and knowledge to provide technical and creative support to the designers and wider business
  • Create and deliver printready artwork to meet the needs of the business within the established print production deadlines for varying offline formats while paying attention to typesetting, formatting and colour correction
  • Produce social media collateral for use by speakers & clients
  • Schedule the social media assets for each event. Depending on skills, you will have the opportunity to also write the copy to go with the images and influence the overall social media strategy.
  • Develop overall brand materials for use on social media and at events.
  • Assist in the launch of a new community website develop and manage materials to go with articles and
  • Make sure the most recent version of the brochure and agendas are on the websites.
  • Manage the agenda information on the websites.

You will require:


  • Detailed knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro
  • A portfolio to demonstrate your artwork experience
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and workflows
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment
