Based at Conaty House House Housing with Care Scheme in Walker.

£11.10 per hour

Two week rolling shift pattern

Average 24.75 hours per week


  • Week

  • Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday (7am 3pm) 30 hours_


  • Week

  • Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (3pm 10pm hours_

The Role


Conaty House is an Housing with Care Scheme in the heart of Walker which is specifically designed for over 55-year olds requiring care and support to promote independent living.


Reporting to the Housing with Care Manager, you will be responsible for providing support and care services designed to promote service users to maintain their independence in a safe and enabling environment, ensuring a professional and caring manner is adopted at all times.


As a Care Worker you will visit service users in their homes to undertake a wide range of tasks as outlined in the individual care plan which is developed with the Service User.

The range of tasks you undertake will vary but will include activities such as support with personal care, preparation of food and support with domestic task and administration of medication.

Care workers will also have a role to play in monitoring the wellbeing of individual service users and discussing changing needs with colleagues and other professionals as applicable.

Care staff will also contribute to the general upkeep of the communal areas whilst on duty.


Ideally, you will have some previous experience in working in a care role although this is not essential as training is provided.

However, it is essential that you demonstrate a commitment to working with vulnerable people and that you can provide evidence of how you would treat people with dignity, respect, patience and kindness.

You must have excellent communication skills, be dependable, punctual and provide high standards of care at all times.
