Tradewind Recruitment Cardiff are looking for a wonderful School Nurse to work in an amazing school in Cardiff. This is a full term and longtime position with an immediate start.

In this role, you'll need:
- knowledge of medicine and nursing practices

- the ability to work well with others
- to be thorough and pay attention to detail
- excellent verbal communication skills
- to be able to use a computer and the main software packages competently

Your main responsibilities will be:
- raising awareness of health issues like smoking and drugs
- giving immunisations, vaccinations and carry out screenings
- training teachers on health care issues and advise on school health policy
- supporting children with medical needs like asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, or mental health issues

Provide nursing advice of a high quality which is child and family centred within the special school setting to all who engage with the child on a daytoday basis.
Be responsible for writing health care plans for the children and young people liaising with specialists

To be shortlisted for this role, you must have the following:

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, EWC, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history wherever possible
