Position:
Marketing Assistant (Part-Time)
The daily activities will be varied and challenging, but you'll have the support of a great team, who will provide comprehensive on-the-job training on our products and processes.
Main Duties:
In this role, you'll take the lead in our day-to-day marketing activities of the business.
This will include things like:
- Managing our social media platforms, creating content, and engaging with our audiences
- Writing search optimised blogs and uploading these to our website
- Content/website editing and optimisation for search engines
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to meet business goals and targets
- Coordinating new product/service launches and events
- Working with external Marketing and PR agencies to develop promotional content
- Liaising with external web and graphic designers regarding web design, signage, and branded content
- Stay informed of current digital marketing trends and industry developments, and incorporate these into campaigns as appropriate
- Updating Google My Business and other website listings, when necessary
- Developing our reviews strategy and responding to customer feedback
- Proactively source, share, and create relevant industry news for our audiences
- Analysing performance and creating monthly marketing reports
This will typically include activities such as:
- Assisting with the ongoing development of our marketing strategy and action plans
- Reviewing and developing marketing processes to maximise efficiency
- Planning, executing, optimising, and analysing performance of all marketing activities
- Reviewing, editing and approval of content produced prior to distribution
- Participating in monthly marketing meetings to review performance and identify priorities
Essential Criteria:
- Third level qualification in a Marketing related discipline
- Competent with various Microsoft IT packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organisational skills the ability to project manage your own workload and work to deadlines
- Good writing skills and exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest standard of output, particularly in relation to marketing materials, brand identity, and messaging
- Good communication skills and ability to converse easily, and work with other staff
- Proactive in your own learning and willing to undertake training courses to upskill, where necessary
- A positive cando attitude and willingness to muck in, lead, and be part of the team
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of using various social media channels and posting to platforms
- Knowledge / experience Google Analytics
- Experience using design software such as Photoshop, InDesign or Canva to create visual content
- Experience using video editing tools
- Knowledge of/or experience using Google AdWords or other online advertising platforms
