Of Lost Time is seeking a Junior Historical Editor to join its team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a strong researcher and writer with a keen interest in history.

Of Lost Time is an innovative publishing unit dedicated to bringing to light the stories hidden in historical correspondence.

We are looking for someone to research and assist writing the next books in our _Letters for the Ages _series; the historical themes of these books are broad, covering topics such as the history of science, espionage, music, and the history of London, and will be explored through historical letters.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough and considerate historical research, using archives, books, the internet, and libraries to find historical letters
• Transcribing letters
• Writing word biographical and contextual 'introductions' to pair with each letter
• Proofreading manuscripts
• Collaborating with the managing director to develop new ideas for driving the projects forward

Salary:
£24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
