We have an exciting opportunity to become a part of our Health and Safety team.

As our Compliance Co-ordinator, you will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a safe and secure environment is maintained for all staff, students, and visitors to Writtle University College.


Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Officer, the role holder will play an integral part in producing, monitoring, and recording the levels of Compliance around the University College.

You will be require to plan and log all statututory inspections, ensuring these meet Compliance regulations.

Such inspections will include but not limited to fire safety, electrical equipment and systems, water hygiene and legionella, emergency lighting, and access equipment.


The role holder will also be required to work closely with the Facilities and Operations team to ensure that asset registers are kept up to date, along with liasing with other departments ensuring that machinery and equipment is being maintained, in line with legislative and manufacturers recommendations.

In addition, with the support of the Health and Safety Officer, you will develop and maintain a robust audit process to continuously identify opportunities for improvement.

We have an exciting opportunity at Writtle University College to appoint 2 enthusiastic and motivated Animal Science Lecturers to join our Department of Animal Science team, to support the delivery of high quality, innovative teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.

Our Animal Science and Animal Management courses have seen substantial growth in student numbers on our most recently validated courses, with new and exciting content to deliver.


The job holder will be part of well established, professional, experienced and supportive team of specialists, already teaching on a variety of programs.

We have excellent links with industry and have well-equipped laboratories, a small animal unit and a working livestock farm.
