Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall supervision, coordination and full accountability for day to day operations assigned to you.
Meets and exceeds depot operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Accomplishes depot operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations (Objectives 4 Pillars & EDP's); planning, monitoring,appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing remuneration actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Achieves depot operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customerservicestandards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; continuous improvement and development/implementation of new business and cost saving activities.
Develops depot operations systems by determining product handling, storage requirements and transport requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilisation,inventory management, dispatch and delivery.
To be accountable for ensuring relevant company and depot operating metrics are met in line with customer contractual obligations and business requirements.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Ensure that all audits, compliance and legal standards are met and exceeded.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
Responsible for highlighting and managing any potential quality issues.
Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, in a timely manner.
