Ward 76B has an exciting opportunity for a Ward Housekeeper to join us at Royal Stoke University Hospital.


We need motivated individuals to take up these posts to support the ward multi-disciplinary team and enhance the patient experience and environment.

You will be assisting patients with menus choices and responsible for equipment ordering and supplies. Also playing a major role in the organisation of the ward environment and patient comfort.


Ideally you will have experience within cleaning/housekeeping or hygiene based role where you have worked to deliver to deadlines and within set guidelines.


The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the environment and catering services meet the needs and expectations of Patients, Visitors and the Ward team.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team.

He/She will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities and services in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance services, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

The post holder will monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and recommending appropriate changes.
