Overview:

Stirling Dynamics is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to support the finance team.


The Finance department at Stirling Dynamics is responsible for reporting on the Company's financial performance and ensuring that all the necessary controls & processes are in place, thus safeguarding the company assets.

The company is fast growing and therefore we are a proactive finance team, who foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high level of service.


This role will be based in our Bristol office however as part of our commitment to flexible working, employees are able to work remotely for part of the week.

We will consider both full-time and part-time.


Responsibilities:


  • Updating timesheet reports and chasing time sheet completion
  • Posting of timesheet data into accounting system
  • Purchase and sales ledger posting
  • Daily cash sheet reconciliation and reporting
  • Bank reconciliations (several bank accounts incl. foreign currency accounts), DOE
  • Setting up payment runs for approval
  • Adhoc Duties:
  • Fixed Asset Verification
  • Entry of new assets onto the accounting system
  • Stock take
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Reconciliation of the annual leave system onto the accounting system

Qualifications:
AAT Qualified, or QBE (desirable)

  • Microsoft Office (proficient Excel skills)
  • Good computer skills (especially with databases and financial software)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Confidentiality

  • Good organisational skills, including deadlines and record keeping
  • Ability to multitask
  • Professional attitude
  • Selfmotivated to see tasks through to successful completion
  • An eye for detail

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Office advanced Excel skills

Experience:


  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Classic system (or similar) desirable

Grade: 1 to 2 (£23,000 - £28,000 pro rata dependant on experience)
