Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Medical Equipment Library (MEL) as a Healthcare Science Assistant.

The MEL manages and supplies a range of medical equipment to departments across the Trust, helping ensure that patients have the right equipment at the right time.

The departments operating hours are Monday to Friday,

This role is a physically active one, in which your primary duties will be the delivery of equipment to wards across the hospital, as well as collecting and decontaminating equipment after use in line with trust policies.

Additionally you will be required to attend some equipment breakdowns and assist with troubleshooting some equipment issues and helping staff on some basic equipment operation.

We are looking for an individual with a positive professional attitude and a flexible approach to meet the growing demands of this busy department.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own initiative, are vital.
