The vacancy


We are currently recruiting for two Training Officers to support the delivery of training programmes at the Manston Short-Term Holding Facility (STHF) with a focus on developing our new employees and delivering refresher training for the existing team.

Our service users are new arrivals who have crossed the channel hoping to claim asylum in the UK, and we support them whilst their asylum process gets underway.


You will report to the Training Manager, with regular engagement with the Manston Contract Manager and other department heads to understand the training needs and implement according to their individual objectives.


Responsibilities and Skills Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrable experience in delivering presentations and curriculum to a diverse audience.
  • The ability to implement various learning styles to cater to different learning styles.
  • Experience in strategic lesson planning and curriculum quality assurance
  • Working in a collaborative environment either within a detention, custodian, military, employment, adult education or high secured environment.
