Description

You will work as part of our busy production team and be responsible for controlling the stock of raw materials and packaging going in and out of the production department.

Daily tasks include:

Making sure production lines are supplied with sufficient amount of raw product and scanning the product on to the live system (Microsoft Dynamic Nav)
Deal with rejected product
Organise workflow, ensuring employees understand their duties
Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
Liaise with Planning manager regarding any discrepancies
Moving scanned pallets into the Cold Store and wrapping them
Supplying production lines with packaging and empty pallets as required
Performing daily stock take and report any issues
Liaise with Cold Store staff regarding running order, pallet movements and packaging stock counting
Replace wires on cutting frames
Liaise with Line Controllers on running order and packaging requirements
Completing all paperwork and documents as the position requires
At the end of each shift empty rubbish bins and move rubbish to the compactor and operate it
Take appropriate action to ensure production tasks are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Ensure all procedures for quality, hygiene, housekeeping are strictly followed and issues reported.
Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are strictly followed and hazards and near misses are reported

You will need to be:

A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work methodically with good attention to detail
Reliable and organised
Able to prioritise workload
Health & Safety aware
Food Hygiene Certification an advantage

Working Hours:

Monday 7am 5pm, Tuesday
Thursday 7am 4pm, Friday 7am 3pm.

Remuneration:
- £11.30 per hour rising to £11.80 per hour following successful completion of probation period. 20 days holiday + bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 3 years service.
