Description
Responsibilities:
Product Management
- Work in collaboration with key investment and distribution stakeholders to design and enhance investment capabilities to align with clients' desired outcomes.
- Help build, support, and implement the plans to grow existing investment strategies.
- Work with Distribution and Marketing teams to define and/or refine product positioning for target markets.
- Work with investment teams and other key stakeholders on enhancements or modifications to existing products.
- Engage with key stakeholders to conduct product assessments and build business cases to evaluate new product proposals. Ensure product proposals are submitted to and approved by the relevant internal and external governance.
- Evaluate and design the appropriate fund structure, vehicle, or wrapper based on target market demand
- Coordinate product implementation teams and conduct postimplementation reviews, as needed
- Coordinate and manage working groups for product positioning, prioritization, enhancements, modifications, or rehabilitation
- Regularly evaluate the product shelf by conducting annual product reviews
- Help maintain global tracker of product activity
Competitive Intelligence
- Lead product research needs and conduct competitive analysis at the strategy and product levels.
- Monitor external conditions, including performance and ratings of competitors, to identify key activities and trends; recommend actions needed to maintain and improve the businesses market position.
- Understand and effectively communicate the complexities of the investment marketplace in ways that help to market and sell the firm's products.
- Help build and maintain competitive intelligence portals and dashboards
- Manage ad hoc research projects
Subject Matter Expertise
- Develop a deep understanding of the firm's investment approach and philosophy.
- Develop and maintain an indepth understanding of all product components, including investments, legal, accounting and operations.
- Serve as a specialist and point of contact for the firm's product line
Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with key investment and distribution stakeholders to implement effective businessbuilding initiatives
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business partners
- Stay informed on investment issues and communicate relevant information within the organization
