You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader.

Although most of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and other DWT (Deutsche Windtechnik) group countries.

Role
This is a role within the Supply Chain team at Deutsche Windtechnik UK

Controlling the flow of parts into the business by working closely with suppliers:


  • Ensuring the efficient transportation of parts from suppliers to site
You will use your skills in a challenging environment within our team. We require someone with enthusiasm, business experience and a willingness to adapt & facilitate change.


What are my responsibilities?

  • KPI Reporting
  • Creation of purchase orders within ProAlpha, ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • Proactively follow up with suppliers, both internal and external, to secure order confirmations
  • Expedite orders as required and where possible
  • Instruct hauliers to ensure the timely and accurate collection and delivery of parts, maintaining regular communication and obtaining progress updates as required
  • Support in the development of process flows, procedure and work instruction documentation
  • Vendor database management
  • Maintain regular communication within the Supply Chain function, wider business and external suppliers and stakeholders to ensure that orders and enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally, ensuring that information is shared quickly, efficiently and accurately
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team and wider business to continuously improve the performance and practices of the department and the business as a whole
  • Processing of export/import documentation
  • GRIR (Goods Received, Invoice Received) rectification
  • Invoice query resolution
  • Open orders report, chase, close including long term resolutions
  • Provide cover for leave as necessary

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience in ProAlpha or other ERP/MRP system
  • Analytical, with an eye for detail
  • Flexible and adaptable in your approach
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to contribute positively in a team working environment
  • A positive, cando attitude
  • Good organisational skills and be able to self manage your time
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and be open to new ideas
