Lead Site reliability engineer - Fully remote - No sponsorship offered

Role:
Site Reliability engineer

Location:
Fully remote

Salary:
Up to £115,000

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable and highly available infrastructure on AWS
Implement automation and continuous integration/delivery pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible
Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness
Monitor infrastructure performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize performance
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of production systems
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements:

Strong expertise in AWS, including experience with EC2, RDS, VPC, and other core services
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes
Strong coding skills in Ruby or Java
Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible
Familiarity with databases, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including load balancing, DNS, and firewalls
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with crossfunctional teams
Experience leading and mentoring junior team members
