    Job Title: Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician

    At Amazon, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences through our cutting-edge logistics and transportation network. As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

    A Day in the Life:

    You'll work on-site at our facilities, responding quickly to machinery issues and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure our equipment runs safely and efficiently. Your expertise will be called upon to investigate and resolve breakdowns, implementing solutions that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

    Working collaboratively with senior colleagues, you'll undertake various maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing, and liaise with contractors when external expertise is required. You'll work flexible shifts to support 24/7 operations, allowing Amazon to deliver products to customers at unprecedented speeds.

    Purpose of the Job:

    We seek motivated, customer-focused individuals who share our passion for innovation and excellence. As an RME Technician, your primary focus will be on ensuring safety regulations are upheld, preventative maintenance is conducted to a high standard, and equipment availability is maximized through continuous improvement.

    Shift Pattern:

    This role requires working non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, to ensure our facilities operate seamlessly around the clock.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on site equipment
    • Reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in live distribution warehouses
    • Utilizing latest tools to optimize equipment effectiveness
    • Maintaining all health and safety policies and practices
    • Supporting development and progression of on-site apprentices
    • Contributing to continuous improvement projects and best practice rollouts across EU sites

    About the Team:

    Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We leverage creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into customers' hands. Our goal is to create seamless delivery experiences and deploy global delivery solutions for new concepts like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

    Our team focuses on people-centric operations, supporting associates who work through the night. We prioritize operational excellence, with 24/7 shifts in most locations.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
    • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
    • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
    • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
