Job Title:
Assistant Achievement Coordinator - Year 7 & Year 9


Reporting to:
Achievement Coordinator andAssistant Principal


Contract Basis:37 hours per week, Term Time Only


Salary:
SO1 SP2- SP25


Overall Purpose of the Role:


  • To support the appropriate Achievement Coordinator in the care and guidance of students in the appropriate year groups thus enabling all students to achieve their full potential
  • To provide a strong positive role model to students and help maintain a positive ethos within the year groups
  • To act as duty Achievement Coordinator and to provide focused support for specifically identified supports.

Key Duties:


Monitoring and evaluating:


  • To maintain positive relationships with Year 7 and 9 students and their tutors
  • To further develop links and positive relationships with parents of students within the year group
  • To ensure students adhere to the school's policy including uniform, attitude to learning and conduct
  • To communicate with HoDs/HoFs to ensure the team is aware of any issues and the targeted students
  • To support staff in engaging individual students
  • To liaise closely with all inclusion staff

Support and Guidance:


  • Ensuring, that student records are properly maintained and current e.g., with documentation of meetings, contact with parents and meetings with external agencies i.e. IEPS, PSPs, etc.

Whole School Responsibility:


  • To promote positive student behavior around the school
  • To confront negative student behavior and take appropriate steps to deal with it.
  • To ensure that the school's health and safety policy is implemented within areas of the school that the post holder is operating in or manages.
  • Promote and act in accordance with the school's equal opportunities policy.
  • To undertake a duty as appropriate

Safeguarding of Children Young people and Vulnerable Adults


To be aware of and work in accordance with the Duke's Aldridge Academy safeguarding child protection policies and procedures in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and to raise any concerns relating to such procedures which may be noted during the course of duty.


The post holder will be required to have a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate and be re-checked every 3 years as per Duke's Aldridge Academy policies.

£28,000.00-£29,500.00 per year
