Administration Officer - Full Time - Permanent

37 Hours per week term time only - Grade G, £27,852 - £30,151, actual term time salary £24, ,603 (depending upon length of service)

Gibside School is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

Staff, parents, and governors all work in partnership to ensure pupils thrive socially, emotionally, and educationally during their time with us.

We work with 180 children, aged 3 to 11 from across the whole borough of Gateshead.

The children have a wide range of needs including autistic spectrum condition (ASC), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD).

Our aim is to inspire, motivate and challenge all our children and to build confident, cooperative, independent learners.

We moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art school building in 2021 which provides the excellent learning facilities our children so deserve.


We are currently looking to appoint a highly motivated Administrative Officer to work with the Headteacher and School Business Leader.

You will manage the day-to-day work of the school office staff and take a lead in planning, developing and designing support systems across school.

You will also support the effective running of HR areas across school i.e., recruitment, absence management, contract amends, reporting etc.

You should have previous experience in managing administrative procedures and working in an office environment plus a good knowledge of working with IT systems.

You will be organised and able to communicate effectively with our staff.
