Position Overview:


As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with ASD, assisting them in their academic and social development.

Your primary responsibility will be to support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and implementing individualised education plans.

You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting student's independence, and providing one-to-one support as required.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet individual needs of students with ASD
  • Assist students with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Support students in developing their communication, social skills, and independence
  • Provide onetoone support and interventions as needed

Requirements:


  • Some experience working with or supporting individuals with ASD (personal or professional experience will be considered)
  • Strong passion for working with students with ASD and helping them reach their full potential
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
