We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a dynamic Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) with opportunities available across the acute inpatient wards at The Royal Stoke University Hospital.

The post holder will be required to manage a varied caseload of patients with communication difficulties and dysphagia arising from a range of aetiologies.

To have professional and clinical knowledge of acquired communication disorders and dysphagia.

To carry out independent assessment of speech and language disorders, with the implementation and evaluation of care/support package

Development of clinical skills in dysphagia.

Demonstrate initiative and autonomy, whilst being creative in finding solutions to problems.

Supervisory responsibilities as required.

To contribute to service development as part of the wider SLT team.
