Lecturer in the Built Environment and Surveying at our
Chichester campus.

You will join us on a
full time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of
£22,156 - £38,894 per annum(This post is eligible for a £5,000 retention bonus on successfully completing probationary period).


The Lecturer in the Built Environment and Surveying role:
As our
Lecturer in the Built Environment and Surveying,you will be expected to prepare lessons, teach and assess across all levels of the Built Environment and Surveying courses (T-Levels and HNC/HND) this will include but is not limitedto:

  • Construction Technology
  • Construction Practice and Management
  • Mathematics for Construction
  • Principles of Heating Services Design and Installation
  • Science and Materials
  • Principles of Ventilation & Air Conditioning Design and Installation
  • Principles of Electrical Design and Installation
  • Project Management

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in the Built Environment and Surveying:

  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner
  • Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters
  • Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each
  • Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding
  • Keeping uptodate with current practices, issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational and built environment sector
  • Participating in marketing activities and promoting the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment
  • Undertaking assessments off site and on campus

Our ideal Lecturer in the Built Environment and Surveying should have the below skills and experience:

  • A working knowledge of surveying and the built environment sector
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all levels, verbally and in writing
