Administrator - Newmarket


Maternity Cover to August 2023

Salary - £20,100

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
McCulloughs is currently looking for an Administrator to join our team in Newmarket.

The role is initially to cover a period of maternity leave but may lead to opportunities for a longer term arrangement.


With a willing and positive attitude you will be working in principal to provide administrative support to three project managers.


Working hours are full time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with start and finish times to be agreed.

Key duties:_

  • General office administration compliant with ISO standards
  • Answering the telephone, dealing with customer enquiries and taking accurate messages
  • Typing letters and documents
  • Compiling handover manuals
  • Placing orders with suppliers
  • Updating project files
  • Maintaining an organised filing system
  • Making travel arrangements and booking hotels

About you:_

Along with some previous proven experience in an administration based role you will have:

  • A good standard of general education
  • Strong IT skills including word, outlook and excel
  • Professional standard of business letter writing (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills including a professional telephone manner and the ability to handle customer enquiries in a proactive, confident and efficient manner
  • An organised and methodical approach to your work with the willingness to take on new tasks
  • Good attention to detail
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
