Who We Are


As NHS Scotland's unique provider of a national tele-health and tele-care service, we are responsible for the delivery of health advice and information by telephone and online services to the population of Scotland 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

NHS 24 is a patient-focused service providing the people of Scotland with triage, advice, guidance, referral and information on health and healthcare services.

Our Regional Centres are located at Hillington, Cardonald, Clydebank
, South Queensferry, Dundee and Aberdeen.
This post will be based in our Lumina Regional Centre. NHS 24 also supports Hybrid Working for this role.


The Role


The role holder will provide comprehensive co-ordination and administrative support to the Engagement & Insights Team within the Transformation, Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate within NHS 24.


Key Responsibilities
The post holder is accountable, with minimum supervision to the Quality Improvement and Evaluation Manager for the successful implementation of the following and will:

  • Organisation of day-to-day administrative tasks across the team
  • Prioritise and work flexibly to plan daily tasks and manage time effectively
  • Establish effective stock management systems for both promotional items/resources and workshop activity materials
  • Ensure appropriate distribution management of same, monitoring stock levels, ordering stock as necessary and reporting
  • Maintain stakeholder data within appropriate files and systems
  • Provide specific coordination support in arranging meetings/workshops/ teleconferences etc
  • Provide administrative support for team wide projects, including diary coordination, highlevel minute taking at meetings, maintaining logs and reports for team where appropriate
  • Support the programme of insight work, potentially collating and extracting data from, for example, surveys, workshops, feedback and evaluation forms etc
  • Maintain effective audit and research systems for monitoring, recording, filing and retrieving data ensuring all necessary information is available when required
  • Promote and adhere to standards of good practice and the main principles of the Data Protection Act
  • Liaise with a range of stakeholders both internal to the organisation as well as externally in supporting the portfolio of engagement and insight work

Successful Applicant will have:


  • Relevant HNC qualification or equivalent workrelated experience
  • General administrative experience within an office environment, ideally with experience of working on event/meeting management and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to professionals and members of the public effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • Good knowledge of MS Office packages including Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Enthusiastic, selfmotivated, flexible, and able to work on their own initiative.

NHS 24 offers a complete benefits package, with a permanent contract on Band 3 £25,468 - £27,486 Placement on salary scale is dependent on confirmation of previous relevant NHS service.
