JOB PURPOSE

This is a
part time role 3 hours per week and will assist the centre ideally on a
Friday, to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in communal areas and offices at the Gore Grange Care and Wellbeing Centre in New Milton, with a particular focus of prevention of the spread of COVID-19.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure work is carried out in accordance with all safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations, Organisation Policy and instructions
Cleaning, vacuuming, polishing and sweeping of all areas, including toilets, shower/bathing areas, the kitchen and offices
Emptying waste bins into the correct waste collection area.
Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.
Check all electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners before using and report any equipment which does not meet required health and safety
Where necessary, undertake replenishment of consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc) as required and assist with cleaning materials stocktake and ordering.
To undertake regular deepcleaning of specific areas and equipment as and when required
To undertake training and continuous personal development to improve own effectiveness
To commit to the Organisation's strategic objective and values, and be an ambassador for Age Concern Hampshire in all activities
