Cash Team Leader within our busy, forward-thinking, Finance Department.


Hours: 37 per week

  • Role will be a mix of working from home and being based in our modern Head office in Bournemouth 23 days each week.
  • Experience working in a finance role preferably within a similar team, ideally at a Team Leader/Supervisory level, in a fastpaced, highvolume environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, when dealing with our customers to resolve their issues.
  • The ability to support and lead the team to achieve their individual and group targets and in turn the wider company ones.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems.

Main role and responsibilities of a Cash Team Leader
include:

  • Acting as a first point of contact to the Cash team as their direct report
  • Prepare corporate and resales bank reconciliations to include monthly submission to deadline of Working day 1 to group
  • Oversee new development bank accounts process
  • Ensure that queries from both homeowners and internal customers are resolved on a timely basis.
  • Act as a key point of contact for both internal and external audit, ensuring compliance and implementing any audit points within the required timescale
  • Willingness to learn cross department tasks (specifically within the Billing and Credit
  • Control teams) to work together to ensure full coverage of duties in the wider team at all times.
  • Being responsible for reconciling the Cleardown Accounts and clearing off any historic items in a timely manner before ME/& predominantly YE such as Company
  • Escalate any risks and opportunities to the Operational Finance Manager
  • Actively and effectively liaising with the Management Accounts team prior to month end and during month end to ensure any unreconciling discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner, along with any items which need to be noted
  • Overseeing AUDDIS runs and the processing of refunds

Skills and Experience required for a Cash Team Leader:

  • AAT qualified (or working towards) would be preferable.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication and professional mannerism.
  • Maintains a positive and 'can do' approach.
  • Flexible approach to working as required by business demands.
  • Goal focused with planning / organisational and delegation skills.
  • Able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Able to rapidly develop good working relationships, and work across organisational boundaries.

  • A thirst to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
