Overview:


As part of our continued support to our customer, we are currently looking for a number of Design Checkers with experience of checking composite and metallic aircraft components, predominantly spar modifications, but also FTE components.

The work will be inside of the IR35 regulations. The rate will depend on the experience level, seniority, etc.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the FTE Design Team Lead, carry out design checking on metallic and composite parts for the A350 aircraft.

Must have experience of checking composite and metallic parts.
Must have previously held delegated authority.
Must have experience of working in Catia V5 and the Composite Workbench Tool.
Must have previous experience of working with VPM and PASS-SSI.
Must have knowledge of Airbus methodologies and processes.
Previous A350 experience preferred.
Previous spar experience preferred (Front or Rear)


Essential Skills:

Minimum of 10 years in the aerospace domain dealing with aircraft structures (Metallic and Non-metallic) using CAD tools like CATIA V5, Composite Workbench Tool' PLM tools like VPM/PASS-SSI.

Methods/Process/Procedures similar to GKN and Airbus.

Previous Delegated Authority signatory experience on the above essential.

Preferred UK Nationals and UK Residents with minimum of BPSS clearance and ability to obtain SC Clearance.


All engineering activities are aimed to be performed using customer hardware, IT system and network to work on a secured platform.
