What the Programme Offers
The

EMEA Early Careers Programme is a professional development programme designed to provide graduates with a 24-month experience in one of our core enterprise functions. As a graduate analyst, we will empower you to build leadership skills and overall business acumen whilst gaining a rounded and comprehensive experience of Wells Fargo.


In this role you will:

This placement is within the EMEA Controllers group.

The team is part of the wider Finance organisation within Wells Fargo, and is responsible for regulatory, financial, and management reporting requirements in the region.

As well as forming a key part of the International Controllers organization, the team provides local support for various financial services business lines as well as the EMEA Chief Financial Officer and management team.

During your time within the team, you will gain exposure to the function's core activities, specifically:

  • Regulatory Controllers
  • preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities. As part of this experience, you will be learn about regulatory rules, obtaining and preparing financial information through defined processes, as well as participating in review, sign off, and governance processes supporting accurate reporting.
  • Legal Entity Controllers preparation of legal entity aligned financial results. You will spend time learning about the processes by which financial results are created in the firm's books and records, as well as being given an insight into the business activity generating the results.
  • Change Management data, infrastructure and process enhancements support core reporting activity. You will participate in change/project management activity (design, development, testing), as well as gaining insight into and supporting the function's effort to use digital tools to automate and streamline reporting processes.
  • Attend classroom training, selfstudy assignments, workshops, networking, and other events.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • In final year of study or graduated from university / institution.
  • Have the relevant right to work in the UK or EEA.
  • Be available to start from 21 August 2023.

DESIRED:


  • Ability to take on a highlevel of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the financial services industry.
  • Familiar with digital tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI or have experience of coding (e.g. Python).
  • Capable of working to deadlines, whilst maintaining a clear focus on detail and quality.
  • Familiar with core accounting concepts such as double entry, GAAP.
