A great opportunity for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation team based in Chieveley, Berkshire to carry out a variety of highway maintenance duties as instructed on a day-to-day basis to ensure the efficient running of the Area 3 network.

Permanent Fulltime - working hours 19:00 - 05:30

Responsibilities
As Highways Maintenance Operative, you'll carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed. Including winter maintenance when appropriate.

Your day to day will include:

  • respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed
- responsible for notification to Network Control Centre on commencement and end of winter maintenance and occupation of Roadspace for Traffic Management
- when trained to do so operate a variety of plant and equipment in order to carry out required duties effectively.
- work in close cooperation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment for both the network users and work team by ensuring compliance all H&S procedures
