Description

We are looking to recruit Production Area Supervisors across the wider Operations team (CV Assy, PC Assy and Stores) to work various fixed shift patterns (days, mids or nights) based on a 38.5 hour week.


We are inviting interest from highly motivated, energetic, self - starters with an appetite for learning and a can-do attitude, who is equally effective as a team player as they are working independently.

Safety

  • Responsible for execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks (operational), 5S Audits, Layered Audits (operational).
  • Support the execution of Safety Walks (leadership), Layered Audits (leadership).
  • Responsible for Near Miss, Incident and Accident Reporting (associated communications).
  • Support Near Miss, Incident and Accident Investigation, regulatory, legal and industry compliance.
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of shift start / end checks including nonconformances, TPM scheduling, adherence of PPE, adherence to EHS and QMS.
  • Responsible for ensuring resource allocation (technical), resource allocation (people), training (training needs).
  • Support requirements for training (deliver training), training (documentation and training matrix).
  • Accountable for trouble shooting equipment and processes, SAP PM notifications.
  • Responsible for delivering Toolbox Talks.
Quality

  • Responsible for the adoption of lean philosophies, lean processes and improvement / CI activities.
  • Support with internal and external noncompliance matters, Corrective Action identification and Corrective Action implementation.
  • Responsible for scrap management.
Delivery

  • Responsible for capacity and demand (volume) planning.
  • Responsible for the adherence to production plan, achieving production performance / targets / OTIF and OEE.
  • Responsible for delivering shift change over meetings, daily reporting and weekly reporting.
  • Support the delivery of monthly reporting and all employee (monthly) briefs / updates.
  • Support with business projects.
  • Responsible for absence reporting.
Cost

  • Responsible for department budget.
  • Participate in consultation for LRP.
  • Informed in relation to AR's, NPI considerations and RSM's.
People

  • Responsible for nurturing positive culture and upholding BorgWarner Beliefs and Behaviours including DE&I.
  • Responsible for deputising for the role directly above, ensuring a flexible workforce, undertaking training needs analysis and talent development.
  • Support the creation and execution of training and development plans.
  • Responsible for onboarding, wider business cross functional integration / communications and Performance Management.
  • Support processes including Annual Merit Review, performance management including Annual Performance Reviews.
  • Responsible for actions relating to HRIS and recruitment.
  • Support actions relating to leavers and headcount.
  • Responsible for actions relating to formal capability and conduct matters first line (informal).
  • Support actions relating to formal capability and conduct matters escalated.
  • Support actions relating to Employee Relations disciplinary / grievance.

Required knowledge and experience:

  • 3+ years of related experience within a manufacturing related field.
  • Experience of supervising employees in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • PC literate including MS Office and ERP System.
