Main purpose of the job:


To join the IT team and provide 1st/2nd line support to all users of LHC Technology systems and platforms, including staff customers and suppliers, including desktop, software and telephony support.

To be the first point of call for all IT and systems issues and to log, track, escalate and see all issues to their resolution.

To maintain IT hardware and software systems for the organisation, Clients and appointed companies and IT systems availability and SLA's for the organisation and monitor and track 3rd party SLA's.

To optimise IT resources effectively to the shaping of LHC's operations in order to meet the organisations needs and requirements.

Carry out documented user acceptance testing of developments on IT platforms and to research new IT trends and implement solutions that benefit the IT operation and the organisation.


Specific responsibilities of the job

  • To support multiple, concurrent, IT projects/workstreams as part of a wider project team.
  • Manage the Windows Azure environment
  • Be respnsible for Office 365 Admin, including teams, SharePoint, exchange etc.
  • Manage Sophos Antivirus software.
  • IT Asset management and IT Security.
  • Technology Training and reports.
  • To be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the LHC IT operations across all teams and to provide good advice LHC staff of best IT practice.
  • To become a competent user of all LHC IT equipment and systems.
  • To prepare and take part in presentations to visitors and current and potential clients (contracting authorities, building contractors and suppliers) using the various audiovisual aids available in the LHC offices and elsewhere.
  • To travel throughout the UK to visit customers, suppliers or consultants as and when required.
  • To propose and effect a personal learning and development plan.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the general level of responsibility of the post at the discretion of the Director.
  • To strive for the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and sustainability in everything he/she does.
