Compliance Analyst - Basingstoke, United Kingdom - Castle Trust Bank
Description
The opportunity
We have an opportunity for a talented Compliance Analyst to join us on the exciting and rewarding path we are taking here at Castle Trust Bank.
Having become a fully authorised bank in 2020, we pride ourselves in being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.
The Compliance team carries out a consultative role for our business lines and colleagues across regulatory compliance, financial crime, data protection and operational risk.
They champion delivery of the right outcomes for our customers, complying with our policies and procedures, and to meet the high standards we have set for ourselves.
Our Compliance team members would describe the environment as open, supportive and collaborative, all important to enable the team to deliver their wide range of obligations to the business.
Working within a small team, this is a fast-paced role, supporting the bank with particular focus on non-financial risk topics (conduct, financial crime, data protection and operational risk) under the oversight of senior colleagues working within the Compliance team.
You will support the delivery of high-quality compliance advice across all business lines, including regulatory, industry body and operational analysis.
You will also be responsible for testing to assess regulatory compliance across the business.
You will act as the first point of contact for compliance advisory matters, including financial crime and data protection for the business.
The role will be on a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days a week from our Basingstoke office and the rest of the week from home.
What is important to us is that you have previous experience working in a UK regulated financial services environment, ideally with specific exposure to at least on of the following: consumer credit, mortgages or banking (deposits/ISAs), possessing working knowledge of UK legislative and regulatory requirements.
What is equally important to us is that you have an analytical, flexible and problem-solving approach to your work, with a proven ability to achieve and sustain high-quality delivery to agreed timeframes.
Considering the nature of the role, the ability to adapt within a changing environment and to re-prioritise workload will be the key to success.
The role will particularly suit those who are naturally curious, have a passion for doing the right thing and who like to develop their knowledge and experience by working outside their existing range of expertise.
As well as a competitive salary, we offer a bonus scheme, contributory pension, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the option to buy/sell up to additional days, plus a range of benefits to support your health and wellbeing.
