ROLE OVERVIEW

  • We are looking for a Maintenance Engineering Apprentice to join our Maintenance team. You will assist the engineering team with all brewery engineering activities. This is an educational role with the aim of developing into a fully qualified engineer at the end of the apprenticeship. The role will also involve time away from site for formal education at a specialist engineering college.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting site engineers with maintenance tasks
  • Working alongside other departments to learn all about brewery operations.
  • Developing and executing new and exciting engineering projects for Beavertown
  • Using learnings to be at the forefront of introducing new technology to Beavertown
  • Implementation of continuous improvement projects
  • Utility readings and usage analysis
  • Contributing to Beavertown events and festivals and representing the brewery in public

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High standard of English and Mathematics
  • Competent with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Logical problem solving skills
  • Interest in engineering and how things work
  • Team player
  • Capable of physical work
  • Strong record keeping abilities
  • Working toward NVQ in Maintenance and Operations engineering technician
  • Willing to work flexible and out of office hours
