Description

The post holder will work with the Crisis team to provide specialist clinical input in Older Peoples mental health.

This will include seeing patients in County Durham and Darlington area, providing specialist input to the team, and providing teaching and training for colleagues.

However, it is also anticipated that the majority of the consultants work will be supervisory in respect to providing clinical advice to colleagues.

Where possible, the option for remote assessments using video technology is also possible, and this can limit the need for extensive travel across the geographical area.

Moreover, where face-to face work is required, consideration will be given to coordinating successive appointments with geographical proximity wherever possible, though the very nature of Crisis work may sometimes mean that this is not possible.
