To further strengthen our team, we are now looking for an enthusiastic individual who will champion Wellbeing across the business, while delivering expert pastoral care, advice, support and guidance to our Wellbeing First Aiders, our employees and our managers.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of action plans and practices in relation to Wellbeing.


This is a role for a creative and dynamic Wellbeing practitioner who possesses relevant qualifications, along with proven experience in a Health and wellbeing, Counselling or Social work setting.

The post holder will support GRAHAM to respond to Wellbeing challenges within the construction industry, ensuring employees, their families and our supply chain partners have access to appropriate professional resources and services.

The post holder will assist in the development and delivery of a range of proactive support systems and programmes. This will include face to face, online interventions and educational programmes. These will assist employees to develop skills to manage and maintain positive Wellbeing.


The post holder will also act as an expert point of contact within GRAHAM offering support and advice on mental wellbeing related situations.

Key duties for this post include;


Pastoral Care and Counselling:


  • Provide support/guidance to the Mental Health First Aid service ensuring effective referral, personal development, and pastoral support processes are in place.
  • Support a referral process from Line Managers, Human Resources, Health and Safety and Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Provide a personalised, pastoral support service to employees referred from these sources, with the option for additional ongoing support as required
  • Offer CBT type interventions or other therapeutic approaches (as per qualifications) and work with employees to develop comprehensive intervention and support plans
  • Make referrals to external support agencies and other health professionals as appropriate.
  • Support the development of selfmanagement skills with employees who require support with issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, bereavement and work related issues etc
  • Ensure that new employees with preexisting conditions are well supported through liaison with Human Resources and Line managers regarding workplace adjustments to provide employees with organisational support
  • As a Wellbeing expert participate and support appropriate employee meetings as required by HR.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and provide effective management statistics, ensuring compliance with a Code of Confidentiality, professional standards and GDPR

Emotional Wellbeing Support:


  • Assist in the development of and deliver appropriate Emotional Wellbeing programmes for employees and managers with a focus on education and prevention, and the delivery of staff training in support of skills and increased emotional wellbeing awareness.
  • Develop programmes and systems to support and maximise the benefit of the internal Mental Health First Aid service, including providing reflective practice sessions and if clinical debriefing.
  • Ensure that our approach to Positive Mental Wellbeing is clearly articulated and showcased both internally and externally

Wellbeing Process Management:


  • Assist in the production of regular updates and reports to the HR Director on organisational progress towards its Wellbeing goals, ensuring compliance with organisational and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development of, and manage the posting and moderation of info on the GRAHAM WORKVIVO Wellbeing Space, and the GRAHAM/ASHIA Wellbeing platform as a first stop advice and support centre for employees, families, and supply chain.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of Wellbeing campaigns across the campaign
  • Design and deliver activities in support and promotion of Wellbeing including those designed to tackle stigma, and by delivering new evidencedbased programmes and/or appropriate therapeutic based interventions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the GRAHAM monthly Interactive Wellbeing Calendar.
  • Monitor and review company processes and policies to ensure they are appropriate to the business, embedding Wellbeing, complying with statutory requirements, and delivering best practice.
  • Conduct Site/Office visits across the group to conduct audits, deliver TBT's and awareness sessions and Open-Door Wellbeing Clinics.
