Description
We are looking for an Apprentice Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic to join the team.

3 year apprenticeship programme will achieve

  • IMI Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English & Maths (if required)
  • Class 1 (CE) Driving license (if required)
Once trained the role involves

  • Carry out HGV maintenance, servicing, MOT preparation and cost effect repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and trailers to DVSA standards
  • Carry out fault diagnostic, troubleshooting and rectification using the manufacturers computer systems and other diagnostic systems
  • Carry out bespoke fabrication work
  • Install sheeting systems and tipping gear
  • Maintain workshop safety and housekeeping.
  • Complete all paperwork correctly i.e service inspection sheets, job cards, defect sheets.

Qualifications Required:


No previous automotive qualifications are required however you must have GCSE 9-4 (A*- C) or functional skills Level 2 in English and Maths.

Predicted grades are acceptable, although apprenticeship offers will be dependent on final exam results.
