My client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to their established team.


The role of the Client Director is predominantly a field based, customer facing sales role, responsible for maintaining and expanding the portfolio within key accounts as well as targeting development growth customers.

The key to success in this role willbe the leverage and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level.

The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.


Client Director Responsibilities

  • Management of the full spectrum of a sales cycle; from need creation to business justification
  • Continually striving to reach different areas of the business, understand the customers strategic intent and underpin their trajectory with company services
  • Create and maintain a detailed client sales strategic plan that will generate, grow, manage, and close substantial incremental and new business wins in existing key and development accounts.
  • Grow revenues and margin within our target markets
  • Ensure 35 development client meetings a month alongside 35 current customer meetings per week
  • Engage and promote our services with key partners.
  • Assist and support marketing endeavours
  • Qualify and win opportunities based on their match to our differentiation, profitability, and commercial viability
  • Attend monthly and quarterly sales meetings
  • Project and maintain a professional and competent image of the Business
  • Retain and develop existing revenue streams, Secure incremental growth in development customers and grow market share
  • Develop client account maps and sales plans
  • Accuracy of monthly forecast commitment

Client Director Requirements

  • Proven sales capability in the Enterprise arena with a solid knowledge of IBM plus 1 other vendor ideally Dell
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management to proactively develop account growth
  • Experience within Enterprise client's delivering to new and existing clients and been actively selling transformation services to the public cloud.
  • Experience in positioning and selling high end Public Cloud solutions in Azure for Enterprise customers.
  • Ability to identify, articulate and promote how professional services can help a client in order to achieve their business objectives
  • Ability to question effectively whilst gaining an understanding of the prospect/clients' business needs
  • Be able to demonstrate and articulate a solid understanding of the dynamics of the market including market trends, industry issues and key political forces
  • Understand the environment in which a prospect/client operates and maintain awareness of all activity within it
  • Capable of presenting business & technology roadmaps which demonstrate how a client can drive maximum value from their technology for competitive advantage
  • Demonstrate the necessary communication and interpersonal skills to interact with and present to clients at every level
  • Capable of time management, highly organised and capable of prioritising workload based on the clients' expectations
  • Demonstrate dedication, drive and ambition with an ability to work comfortably in a dynamic passionate environment

Basic salary of £60-75k OTE £120k-150k + Car Allowance + Benefits
