The Supervision division's primary function is to oversee supervised businesses and individuals to ensure to ensure relevant legal obligations and regulatory requirements are met.


Team:
Relationship Managed Supervision


We manage a portfolio of businesses on either a proactive or enhanced basis which involves regular dialogues, through onsite examinations, outreach, and annual review meetings.

The Relationship Managed Supervision teams oversee supervised businesses in banking, fund service business, and trust company and investment business, considered to present the greatest risk to the JFSC's guiding principles.


Your role:
Administrative Support (35 Hours Per week/FTC)

Supervisors in these units remain sector-focused, ensuring we retain specialist knowledge.

Regulated Businesses supervised by the Relationship Managed units have dedicated supervisors allocated to the supervision of their business and they often require administrative support.

Your competencies for this role will help you
deliver the following outcomes:


  • Efficiently manage work schedules through arranging meetings in an efficient manner, both internally and externally, through proactive planning and support
  • Compliance with internal procedures
  • Excellent team calendar management and administrative excellence (managing and sending agendas and minute taking/tracking)
  • Excellent prioritization of tasks and engagement with supervisors such that supervisors remain proactive with their entities

How will you add value to the organisation?


By removing day to day administrative tasks from the supervisors, the Admin Support will enable increased and effective relationship managed supervision of businesses to ensure they meet their legal regulatory obligations and the JFSC achieves its mission to maintain Jersey's position as a leading International Finance Centre, with high regulatory standards, and adherence to our guiding principles.


What will success in this role look like?

  • Proactively identifying new ways to assist supervisors.
  • Timely delivery of expectations.
  • Supervisors are less burdened with administrative requirements.
This role provides an opportunity to hone your administrative skills and gain mastery in handling interesting and varied situations.

You will be working with many supervisors, giving you the opportunity to learn about each team and understand the regulatory regime of Jersey.
