MAIN PURPOSE:

  • To work with the Manufacturing Director to produce components to exact specifications.
  • To assist in every way possible to help the company achieve its desired objectives.
DUTIES, ACTIVITIES & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

A) TURNING, MILLING AND DRILLING

  • Manufacture machine parts to specified tolerance specifications using manual lathe.
  • Drill and mill parts.
B) HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Ensure that all requirements are carried out to meet the company's stated Health & Safety policy.
  • Keep machines and work area clean and tidy.
C) STOCK MANAGEMENT

  • Keep stock area clean and tidy.
  • Check stock received at the point of delivery.
D) COST CONTROL

  • Help to keep all running costs to a minimum by observing potential areas of inefficiency and acting upon them
  • Assist in the controlling of waste and give suggestions for ways to help control running costs.
E) CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Take a regular look at your area of work and suggesting improvements where possible.
  • Review the wider business regularly in line with your areas of responsibility to actively seek ways to improve the systems and processes we use.
F) BUSINESS & STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT

  • Take a regular look at your role and assess how you are performing in relation to the company's overall aims, vision, and objectives.
  • Put forward ideas for the development of the company's products and services when able.
G) CUSTOMER CARE

  • Deal with any customers or their representatives in an appropriate manner.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent


Salary:
£14.50-£18.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 22.5 per week
