Clare College has a vacancy for a Programme Manager and Assistant Client Agent to assist the Estates Director in the delivery of the Old Court Refurbishment project and the College's Capital Programme (known as specials).


Programme Manager and Assistant Client Agent

Salary:
Between £48,000 and £50,000 per annum

Hours:
Full time, 37.5 hours per week


Contract: 2 years fixed term

The Programme Manager will be the key point of contact between the Contractor/Project Manager and the College, ensuring that the College requirements are incorporated and timely responses are made to queries raised.

The Programme Manager will also ensurethe delivery of the Colleges annual Capital programme (approximately 2m) is delivered to time and budget.

The successful applicant will have proven experience of delivering projects on time and in budget.

They will be able to provide a Master Programme of all works and be confident of liaising and managing contractors.


Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Qualification in a property related discipline i.e. HND or Degree in Building Services, Project Management, Construction, Facilities Management or Surveying.
  • Membership of a profession organisation i.e. RICS, CIOB,CIBSE, iWFM.
  • In depth knowledge of delivery Refurbishment projects.
  • Proven experience in helping to deliver projects on time and in budget. Experience of liaising with and management of external Contractor/Agencies.
  • Demonstrable organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to ensure services are maintained.
  • Experience of providing a Master Programme of all project work.
  • Experience in managing teams comprising a wide range of people, with varied levels of competencies.
  • Solid knowledge of principles of procurement and contract management.
  • Good knowledge and management experience of Health and Safety, Environment and Quality systems.
  • Experience of delivering to quality, cost and time objectives.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to listen, express and articulate information effectively.
