Description

We are looking for a new Dispensing Assistant/Trainee Dispensing Assistant to work in our friendly GP Practice a short distance from the county town of Shrewsbury.

We provide high quality care to over 7500 patients in a lovely village. Our Dispensary team cover the hours between 8am-6.30pm, hours and days to be confirmed as we can be flexible. Pay will be negotiable depending on experience. We are looking for a Part time role.

Prescott Surgery is located in the Shropshire village of Baschurch, which is 8 miles from Shrewsbury Town Centre and 11 miles from Oswestry.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will project a positive and friendly image to Dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.

Overview of your organisation

Prescott Surgery is a 3 Partner practice.

Flexibility is required as the post holder may be required to work from other locations to meet the needs of the service.

In addition to the Partners, the practice has 4 salaried GPs, 2 Nurses, 2 Health Care Assistants and a Care and Community Co-Ordinator.

We are a GP training practice and usually have 1-2 GP trainees working with us at any given time.

We are a dispensing practice, employing a Dispensing Manager, Dispensing technician and 2 Dispensing Assistants.

We are also part of Shrewsbury Primary Care Network, working collaboratively with other local practices providing services to our patients.

Our Allied Health Care professional staff include Musculoskeletal specialists, Pharmacists, Mental Health Practitioners and Social Prescribers.

We also employ a Practice Manager, Senior Administrator and and a team of Administrators. The extended Primary Health Care Team of Health Visitors and District Nurses are based in separate accommodation but are in close liaison with our clinical team
