Finance Assistant
12-14 month FTC
£28,000-32,000 + study support + benefits & hybrid working

Aila is excited to be in exclusive partnership with a leading, global and private equity fintech in Hemel Hempstead, on the recruitment of a Finance Assistant for a period of 12-14 months.

You will be involved in key period end and month end tasks for businessreporting and act as key point of contact with internal stakeholders.

You will be a confident individual with excellent analytical skills, an intermediate level of Excel and strong knowledge of debits and credits.

You will be patient and able to approach queries in a calm and effective manner, whilst enjoying working in a fast-paced,changing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Importing data into finance system
  • Querying data from the tech team where applicable
- demonstrating problem solving

  • Provide support across the business with product analysis, client analysis and reporting
  • Daily reconciliation of purchase invoices to operating systems' expectation
  • Period end reconciliations and reviewing margins
  • Period end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide cover for processing weekly billing imports into finance system


To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience within a finance team, ideally for a medium or large organisation.

You will be comfortable with pivots and lookups on Excel and be able to communicate well with the tech team regardinginvoice queries.
