The Company
A Commercial Financial Analyst is sought by a global leader within the Media marketplace.

This dynamic, entrepreneurial and rapidly growing business supports a broad portfolio operates across 4 continents producing market leading content digital platforms.

Operating in advertising, sponsorship and subscription platforms, the group has enjoyed exponential growth through innovative design, leading edge technology and new channels to market over the past decade.

As the result of a strategic expansion programme,a new high-profile opportunity exists for a 2:1/1st class graduate, to step into a Commercial Financial Analyst role supporting a key business division.


Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Financial Analyst

  • Monthly financial reporting with a key focus on budgeting, forecasting & performance analysis
  • Advising senior management (up to CFO) on monthly performance against budget, highlighting key areas for cost management & proposing solutions
  • Provide detailed insights and patterns on KPI's such as subscription numbers, churn rates, price rises and promotional offers
  • Preparation of management reporting & insights
  • Developing, reporting & improving the accuracy of KPIs
  • Improving reporting on country, product and channel profitability
  • Understanding key cost drivers for the business
  • Liaising with regional finance, data, marketing and customer service teams to understand trends and behaviours

Skills & Attributes of the Financial Analyst

  • Advanced SQL skills required to query billions of data points
  • Experience of working within a finance team or strong finance understanding gained through a finance/accounting/business degree or professional accounting qualification
  • An outgoing personality confident to present to senior stakeholders including C-Suite within a global group
  • The business is very fast paced and requires someone to work to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy as a commercial financial analyst
  • Ambitious and driven to provide clear and concise analysis and patterns
  • Due to the international nature of the group, you will be comfortable communicating with people of a diverse cultural background and thrive in an environment providing global career development opportunities
