We are looking for a motivated and committed part time Nursery Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team in Sunderland based primary school.

You will provide support to the Nursery class, helping pupils to reach their full potential.

You will assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, and help to ensure that all pupils are included and engaged in all activities.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a classroom, as well as being able to use your own initiative to solve any problems that may arise.

As a Teaching Assistant working, your duties may include:

Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning and preparation.
Lead small group or individual instruction as assigned by the teacher.
Provide additional support to students who need extra help.
Help supervise students in the classroom, playground, cafeteria, and other areas.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
Assist with record keeping and other administrative tasks.
Prepare teaching materials and classroom displays.
Assist with setting up and tidying up the classroom each day.
Supervise students on field trips and other schoolsponsored activities.
Provide individual attention to students who need extra help

The requirements for this role are:

GCSE English & Maths
Preferably qualified to an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
Experience working with children
Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff
Possess strong organizational, communication and problemsolving skills
Understanding of classroom procedures and policies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Part-time hours: 17.5 per week

Salary:
£10.30-£12.00 per hour
