Principal Designer & CDM Advisor - UK, Nationwide:
- Monaghans provide dynamic multi-disciplinary building consultancy services delivering quality professional expertise and advice to clients across a diverse range of business sectors throughout the UK and Europe._
The Principal Designer / CDM Advisor will be working on an array of different projects in the Retail, Commercial and Residential ad sectors throughout the UK.
The role location is flexible and could be either office or remotely based but will include travel to sites around the UK and our regional offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day delivery of CDM advisory services across a variety of projects and sectors.
- Carrying out Health and Safety site inspections / audits across the UK.
- Collation of Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
- Preparation and review of key CDM documents, including design risk registers.
- Design risk reviews of new build, fit out and alteration projects, including fixture design reviews.
- Assist those appointed as duty holders to discharge their legal responsibilities on traditional and design & build projects.
- Undertaking Fire Risk Assessments and other occupation audits.
- Site Conformity Audits
Desired Skills and Expertise:
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations.
- IOSH (minimum 'Technical' level) or APS Membership desirable.
- Full driving license and your own vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
- Keen to further yourself professionally (CPD).
- Retail, leisure, or commercial sectors experience is desirable but not essential.
- Delivery of work outputs within set time frames.
- Commitment, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
- Team player capable of a flexible approach.
- Energetic and selfmotivated.
- Strong IT capabilities including working experience of Microsoft Office & TEAMS.
