An exciting opportunity is now available to strengthen the existing workforce and to promote and enhance the Operational Estates Team.


Your base will be Oldham General Hospital where you will carry out basic maintenance repairs and planned maintenance, breakdown maintenance and diagnosing faults including a degree of new installation work.

You may also be required to work across other trust sites when required.

In addition to the above you will work on install, maintain, service and repair the full range of Estates Structural and Fabric components / elements with a focus on Joinery repairs including a degree fabrication work.


Perform work including activities which require comparison of a range of options, facts requiring analysis to resolve technical issues in complex and multifaceted equipment / situations.


Responsible for comparison of structural components in the Trust's building Portfolio and fault finding on a wide range of structural elements and equipment including roads and footpaths, external drainage, walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, roofs and assisting the with mechanical and electrical duties.

Work out of hours in order to achieve pre-planned maintenance requirements and conduct necessary works in clinical environments in order to minimise disruption to the hospital function

Overtime may be available, enabling a boost to earning potential.
