2 Semi Skilled Porta Cabin Joiners Urgently Required

We are seeking 2 experienced Semi Skilled Porta Cabin Joiners for our client based in the York area.

Pay:
£13.50 to £14.00 per hour employed not CIS

Hours:730am to 4pm

The Position:
Semi Skilled Porta Cabin Joiner

You will refurbish, modernise and totally rebuild cabins.

You will be responsible for assembling and installing prefabricated portable cabins used for various purposes such as offices, accommodation units, or storage facilities.

You will work with a team to ensure that these structures are constructed safely, accurately, and efficiently according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Cabin Assembly: Constructing porta cabins according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications provided. This includes installing walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and fixtures.

Material Preparation: Cutting, shaping, and preparing materials such as wood, metal, plastic, and insulation materials for cabin construction.

Joinery Work: Utilising carpentry tools and techniques to join materials together accurately and securely. This involves framing, trimming, and finishing work.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines throughout all stages of construction to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Team Work: Working closely with other joiners, construction workers, and supervisors to coordinate tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.

Maintenance and Repairs: Performing routine maintenance and repairs on existing porta cabins to ensure they remain in good condition and functional.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter, preferably in constructing porta cabins or a similar industry.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry and joinery work.
Knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and perform tasks requiring bending, and lifting.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Certification or experienced in Porta Cabin fitting or Joinery

This position is a Temp to Perm position and will not be suited to contractors unless looking for an employed position.
