Description

The Public Health Clinical Response (PHCR) Division is in the Health Equity and Clinical Governance Directorate which sits in the Clinical and Public Health Group.

Working alongside the Senior Medical Advisors and the Heads of Guidance and Evidence and their teams, the Consultant in Public Health will support the Deputy Director Public Health Clinical Response in the provision of public health specialist advice, guidance and evidence reviews, including working closely with the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Directorate to support any public health incidents.

Incident response work may involve a change in working patterns including weekend working and overtime and the need to travel.

The Consultant in Public Health will identify future challenges to the public's health. The post holder will work effectively across PHE directorates, teams and disciplines where needed
